Capital Helicopters is a Yukon-owned and operated helicopter charter company based in Whitehorse. For over 25 years, they have provided charter service throughout the North for a wide variety of clients and for operations as diverse as mining exploration, geological surveys, camp support and fire suppression.

The challenge

Although Capital Helicopters was an established business, a growth in demand for their services caused a rapid expansion for the company, with their fleet increasing.

They needed a new website to reflect these changes while showcasing their services, team and fleet. To ensure their capacity to handle the increased demand, they wanted a job posting feature where administrative staff could keep the job postings current. They were also looking for an aircraft maintenance tracking solution and online logbook for their growing fleet.

The Solution

We built a clean, responsive website on the Webflow platform that elevated their brand to match the company's excellence in the Yukon. The homepage showcases Capital Helicopters various services in a visual and easy-to-navigate way for an intuitive user experience and a job function makes it easier to manage employment opportunities.

We also created a bespoke maintenance tracking solution and an online logbook. For each aircraft, we built a database to track parts that require maintenance or replacement based on usage. The online logbook connects to this database to update the parts usage. We then built a dashboard displayed on a TV to show each aircraft's status and a list of the next parts that need replacement, inspection, or service.

The same seamless mobile experience

Many users were likely to visit the site on their handheld devices. So, following our usual principles we ensured nothing was sacrificed, whatever the screen size.

A lot of marketers focus on branding when that’s not the issue. We believe, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” We can help build the functionality you need to facilitate what’s already working.
